Bush won.
Tell me why you voted for Kerry or for Bush.

For me, when it came right down for it, I felt Kerry would protect my civil and personal rights, and help America internationally and domestically. Bush won't do that. Ever.

I voted for Kerry because

- I felt he would protect women's rights
- I felt that he would protect my civil rights
- I felt he was like a strong leader
and
- I thought he would do a better job of protecting the environment.

Bush is going to ruin the environment and ravage Alaska. Oooh, boy, I can't wait.

I can't even think right now. But I agree with you about Kerry. Bush has made too many mistakes and I wanted him out of there. And although I did not think Kerry was the best man for the job, he was a lot better than Bush. I know it seems irrelevant, but I also liked John Edwards. Maybe in 2008 we'll have better candidates. Just keep telling yourself 'it's only four more years':*(

Yep. I like Edwards alot, especially when he said he would first call John McCain and begin to work with him if they won. I like McCain too...and he was almost Kerry's runningmate.

I don't agree with Bush on much and after reading Kerry's stances on the issues (on his website), I felt like I wanted to vote for him. I loved all, or at least most, of his ideas.

John Kerry adopted several of John Edwards' issues, like several points on education. I love John Edwards. He totally rocks.

I started out voting for Kerry merely because he wasn't Bush. But I checked him out, read up his stances, and I was surprised how much I agreed with him.

He's also the number one liberal in the senate, and since I'm too liberal for my own good, this was a major plus.

Actually, I think Ted Kennedy might be offended by that statement. He's the number one liberal, according to some random conservative survey. John Kerry is second. Muwahaha.

I voted for Kerry for basically the same reasons, I don't feel safe under the leadership of a religious extremeist.

Faith-based initiatives are totally unconstitutional, in my opinion, but he's been almost completely unchecked in the last four years. It's going to get worse.

1. Bush has increased the deficit so much in just four years-- I know it was always bad, but it got much, much worse... another four years is just going to increase it.

2. Take away abortion? take away gay rights? That's bullshit

3. Kerry's plans for economy, raising minimum wage, that sort of thing.

4. Kerry is more respectable, more eloquent, just gives off a better image of America-- which is important. Let them bash Bush for looking like a monkey, not for looking ignorant.

1) Agreed. The deficit has expanded beyond reasonable doubt. And employment has been up and down, with more and more white collar jobs going overseas.

2) Agreed. But interestingly I heard CNN say that Laura Bush has expressed feelings against rejecting Roe v. Wade. I thought that was quite intriguing.

3) Agreed. Kerry's plans were more socialized and considering of the American public as a whole.

4) Agreed as well. We need someone who can be objective, compromising, and strong all at the same time. Bush is stagnant, uncompromising, and strong. "Strong" is a subjective term here, also, when it means that he is too firm and unwilling to change his opinion when his view is obviously wrong.

Seeing as I cannot vote...

But, if you want my increadibly political, proper, and well thought out response *sarcasm* I think they both suck. Like on South Park, the choice between a giant douche and a tyrd sandwich.

I would have probably gone Bush, however...*hides* Because Kerry's flip-flopping drove me nuts. With him, I felt like I was never sure what really was the story or what he really stood for, and I kind of have a problem voting for someone who I'm on the whole not sure about. I don't agree with many of the things Bush does, but atleast I know where he stands.

*shrugs* That's the basic run down. I tried to keep myself informed on the political race just so I'd be informed, but I didn't pay too close attention because it's not like I could vote anyway. *sigh* Oh, I wish I was eighteen...

;)
